Our diverse experience in this field began in the 1980’s as the international tourist and business boom gave rise to demand for independent high end hotels complete with business conference centers, banquet halls, restaurants and shopping areas. By 2021, Reliance had completed over 750 hotel rooms and associated conference spaces. As the market evolved and baby boomers turned into empty nesters, in addition to an ever-increasing demand for housing, high rise condominium and purpose built rental construction became more common. Our vast experience in this domain ranges from affordable residential units for first-time buyers to condominium developments for seasoned buyers, complete with high-end amenities. In 2009, the Canadian housing market emerged from the recession and by 2021, Reliance had completed or had under construction over 20,000 housing units in eastern Canada.

9160 Airlie is a 115,000 square foot residential building in Lasalle which features amenities such as a gym and a conference room. This project includes 75 units with one level of underground garage. It is a four storey low rise building with a mezzanine. Included are twenty-six 2-storey penthouse suites. Additiionally, a large retail groundfloor component of approximately 15,000 square feet has already been leased to a CPE daycare center. The envelope consists of windows and brick masonry with some aluminum panels and metal siding.

This new project includes the construction of a 4 storey, 78 unit rental building, and 1 storey of underground parking. The building is on a large lot where there is an operating Hampton Inn. The units range from 600 square feet to 1,400 square feet and the construction involves maintaining an existing outdoor pool which sits 5 feet from the new garage foundation wall. The project is 134,260 square feet of gross constructed area.

Located in the heart of Montreal's entertainment district in the downtown area, 455 Rene-Levesque will consist of two impressive residential towers, the first composed of 36 floors and the second 45 floors, with a total of 820 rental units. The project will achieve a dual design by being in harmony with one of Montreal's oldest Church to its north, while still matching with the modern downtown atmosphere with its glass design and slightly tilted architecture. The building's surroundings will include the Quartier des Spectacles, two metro stations, and bus and train stations. These two buildings will become important Montreal landmarks, and will be joining the rest of the sky scrapers in the downtown core which have helped shape the beauty and splendor of the city.

Voltige Belvedere, the second phase of a new residential development in Montreal will consist of 217 rental units over 16 floors. The building is within the pleasant neighbourhood of Ahuntsic-Cartierville, surrounded by a train station and several shopping malls, and close to many cultural centres and sports complexes. Thanks to its centrality, residents can reach the downtown area in just 15 minutes, as well as the popular neighbourhoods of Mount Royal and Outremont. In terms of its unique architecture, the building’s design was conceived to illuminate the units with natural daylight, and features a balcony in every unit.

Located in picturesque South Oakville, the redevelopment of the existing 1970’s era Bronte Village Mall included the addition of 15,000 square feet of retail space, the construction of two new modern residential towers that contain 481 luxurious suites with 614 underground spaces. The mall renovation was completed while maintaining the Sobeys store in activity with no impact on the business.

The suites range from 700 square feet to over 1200 square feet and are equipped with high end finishes and appliances. Additionally, the buildings are fully equipped with amenities including a pool, roof-top patio and lounge, party room, and a fitness room. Developed by Crombie REIT and Prince Development, this revitalization holds true to the current aesthetic and culture of the Bronte neighborhood and brings an attractive and exciting renewal to the area.
